Active/Cooperative Learning Workshop
	Schedule 8:30 a.m.–12:00 noon Facilitators Jeff Froyd, Texas A&M University P. K. Imbrie, Purdue University Description Facilitators will introduce the concepts of active and cooperative learning and will explore the five elements of cooperative learning: positive interdependence, individual accountability, group processing, develop of social skills, and face-to-face interaction. Examples of how faculty members can incorporate each of the five elements into their classes will be offered. Results of several studies on active/cooperative learning will be offered.
