Introduction

The first year engineering program at Arizona State University has three different options for students.

  • Option 1 of the Engineering Groups for Academic Growth and Excellence Programs (EnGAGE) program is the Freshman Integrated Program in Engineering (FIPE). Students in FIPE take a tightly integrated set of courses in engineering, English, mathematics, and physics.
  • Option 2, EnGAGE: Students in option 2 take three classes together in groups of 20-25 students.
