Summary
This Chapter reviews the four fundamental conservation laws:
- Conservation of Mass (COM)
- Conservation of Linear Momentum (COLM)
- Conservation of Angular Momentum (COAM)
- Conservation of Energy (COE)
in preparation for their detailed development in Chapters 2, 3, 4 and 6. Application of these conservation laws is considered here for both Macroscopic and Microscopic systems.
