- Introduction
This module illustrates the scope of estimating, defines the types of estimates, describe the contents of a typical estimate and begins the description of "how to do" an estimate.

- Students should be able to list the steps in the estimating process.
- Students should be able to define the cost elements of a simple construction estimate.
- Students should be able compute the value of these cost elements, given appropriate data.
