    This module reviews interpreting, understanding, creating, and executing NC programs. It also reviews CAD/CAM used in Lean Manufacturing.
  • Instructional Objectives
    • To be able to read and interpret an NC part program
    • To be able to create NC part programs for milled parts
    • To understand the difference between world, machine and part coordinates
    • To understand how to set machine offsets
    • To execute an NC part program
    • To understand the need for CAD/CAM in Lean Manufacturing.
    • To be able to create 2D Geometries in MASTERCAM
    • To be able to create 2D toolpaths in MASTERCAM
    • To use MASTERCAM for identifying optimum toolpaths
    • To generate NC codes using MASTERCAM
